Cruise Description 6 Night Cruise sailing from Echuca roundtrip aboard Emmylou.

You will love our now popular 6-night All the Rivers Run Cruise. Sailing from Echuca the itinerary pays homage to its namesake novel, visiting Perricoota Station, embarking on new onshore tours, and partaking in movie nights viewing the 1984 movie adaptation, starring Emmylou as PS Providence.

This cruise relives the notion of living on the river, allowing guests to experience both the Upper and lower river from Echuca, with days spent listening to Kookaburras bursting into song or watching a flock of galahs playing in the distance. Evenings spent viewing the sunset through towering Red Gums and watching the rising moon will be lasting memories of this special river cruise.

Guests will also enjoy four onshore tours taking you further along the river to Swan Hill visiting the Pioneer Settlement with includes a cruise along the river aboard PS Pyap. A feature of this cruise is a narrated tour of Echuca, founded by Henry Hopwood where you will visit little-known historical sites learning about the rich history of this beautiful river port town, once Australia’s largest inland port with over 100 Paddlesteamers.

Day 1 Monday
Departing Echuca downriver, enjoy a welcome afternoon tea with freshly made Australian scones, jam & cream with tea and coffee as you begin to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the river. As the sun starts to set over the river, time for an evening cocktail before your chef-prepared welcome dinner. Tonight, we moor at the famous Perricoota Station. Rich in history, the property was first settled by James Maiden in 1843, and famous for starring in the TV movie “All the River Run” where PS Emmylou was renamed PS Providence

After dinner enjoy the first of four movie nights reliving the struggles of Philadelphia Gordon, played by Sigrid Thornton in the famous mini-series.

Enjoy the timeless, natural beauty gliding through the World-Heritage listed Barmah Wetlands followed by a riverside picnic lunch and a visit to St Anne’s winery for a cellar door tour with the owners.

Arriving back at Perriccoota Station join a guided walking tour of the buildings and vast gardens scattered with old date palms. This afternoon we cruise downstream towards Torrumbarry Weir.

Make sure you take time to view the PS Gem, once the most impressive passenger river paddlestreamers on the river. We then board PS Pyap for a cruise on the Murray before returning to Toorumbarry Weir.
